FAQ
I am pregnant! Can we use this as a maternity session? I would love to do a full maternity session with you and your family on another date! I'm happy to capture photos of you and your children while you’re pregnant, but the focus will be on you and your kids and your bond…not on your bump.
What props do you have? No props...the focus will always be 100% on you and your kids. I will gently guide you instead of posing…this way I can get some beautiful shots of you and your children just being together authentically, without cheesy poses.
What is the background? The background will be black. Clean, classic, and timeless. You can take a look HERE to see how a black background looks.
What should we wear? Dress however you are comfortable! No need to be fancy if you don’t want to be. Comfy in a dress? Great. Feel your best in jeans and a sweater? Perfect.
When choosing outfits, keep the black backdrop in mind—opt for colors that will stand out against it. Mid-tones, soft neutrals, and earthy hues work beautifully. Textures and subtle patterns can add interest, but try to avoid anything too busy or distracting. Steer clear of dark colors that might blend into the background and overly bright tones that can take over the image.
Skip logos and graphic text to keep the focus on your faces and connection.
For little ones:
A simple onesie or cozy sleeper is perfect for babies. For toddlers and older kiddos, use the same approach you’re taking for yourself—comfortable, classic, and not too fussy.
Will 5–10 minutes won’t be enough time? With years of experience (and a few photographer superpowers), I can capture genuine, heart-melting moments in just a few minutes.
How many pictures do I get? You will receive a gallery of 10-15 images, each one edited in color and black and white. You will then have the option to purchase high resolution digital images and prints.
How do I get my photos? Within two weeks of your session, you will receive a link in your email to your gallery with info on how to purchase your images.
Can I print these myself? If you purchase the digitals, absolutely! Although I strongly recommend ordering prints through your gallery. I believe it's important to invest in quality prints so your photos maintain their integrity over time. If you're used to ordering your prints from big box stores and online bargain printers, you're going to be amazed at the difference in quality…I promise, it's worth it.
