My goal in offering Fine Art School Portraits in Chicago is to give parents a boutique photography experience that truly captures their child’s personality—no forced grins, no stiff poses, just genuine, timeless portraits. I provide a full-service, stress-free photography experience for children in daycare, preschool, and elementary school throughout Chicago and the surrounding suburbs.

My Process

From our first email to the final delivery, my process is built to make school picture day simple for everyone—administrators, teachers, parents, and kids.

• Quick communication: I respond promptly to emails and calls, keeping schools updated every step of the way.

• Clear instructions for families: Before picture day, every family receives a detailed guide explaining the shoot and ordering process.

• Organized galleries: Families receive a password-protected online gallery, organized by grade, room, or class.

• Fast turnaround: Galleries are ready within three weeks and products are shipped directly to families—typically within 1-2 weeks. Digital orders will be emailed immediately after purchase.

• On-site setup: I bring all the necessary equipment and set up in a pre-determined location.

• No upfront cost for schools – all profit is made from family orders.

What Families Receive

Each child is photographed in a relaxed, comfortable way, resulting in at least three unique images to choose from (usually more!). Families will have access to a password protected gallery, and can order:

• Digital files

• Prints in a variety of sizes

• Canvases

• Packages and a la carte options to fit every budget

• Gift items such as magnets, mugs, and keychains

Expertise

With over 15 years of experience photographing families and newborns, 5 years photographing school portraits, plus 5 years experience as a toddler teacher at a daycare (a lifetime ago, but still!), I know how to connect with children and bring out their genuine expressions. I never force a smile—instead, I chat, joke, and interact with each child so their personality shines through. Sometimes the quiet, thoughtful moments make the most treasured portraits.

• Digital files for yearbooks and ID cards

• Staff and class photos- composite or in the classroom

• Discounts for staff that have children attending the school

• A 5% donation of net profits back to the school
