What Are Fine Art School Portraits?
My goal in offering Fine Art Portraits to schools in Chicago is to give parents a boutique photography experience that truly captures their child’s personality—no forced grins, no stiff poses, just genuine, timeless portraits. Say goodbye to awkward school photos with harsh lighting and questionable backdrops—these images are artistic, classic, and all about showcasing the real, beautiful essence of each child.
What Do You Offer?
I offer a full-service photography experience for kids in daycare, pre-school, and elementary school in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. There is no cost upfront, all profit is made from ordering. I bring all the necessary equipment with me to the school and set up in a pre-determined spot on a day that is set by the school. All families will receive detailed instructions before picture day that explains the shoot and ordering process. Families will receive a link that directs them to an online password-protected gallery, which will be organized according to grade, room, class or whatever grouping makes sense for that individual school. Each child will receive a minimum of 3 images to choose from. Families can place orders for digital files, prints, and canvases. I offer competitive pricing that ranges to fit everyone's needs, including package and a la carte options. Products will are delivered directly to families within 6 weeks of picture day.
What Experience Do You Have ?
My experience comes from over 15 years of family and newborn photography. I love working with children and capturing their personalities...candid shots are always my favorites, and usually favorites of my clients as well. I will never force a child to smile, but instead will try to coax their personality out by chatting with them as I shoot. A great photo doesn't always mean a smile and looking into the camera...a candid shot of a child looking down can be just as beautiful.
I'm happy to work with schools to meet their individual needs and can provide digital files to use in yearbooks, ID cards, or however the school wishes to use them. I am also happy to provide class and staff photos.
I donate 5% of net profits to the schools that I photograph!
