SCHOOL FAQ

What is the cost to the school?

There is no cost to the school! In fact each school will receive 5% of my profits. This is my way of giving back to the community and to education.

What is the cost to the parents?

There is no up front cost. I offer prints, digital media, and canvas options to parents at a cost that is comparable to traditional school photo companies.

When time of year will photos take place?

I work with the school to decide on a time that works best for them. Usually schools choose to do photos in spring or fall.

If the photos are outdoors, will there be a rain date?

In the event of inclement weather we will have a rain date set up with the school.

How much time will the photos take?

Each child takes approximately 2 minutes to photograph…kids that are very outgoing may take under a minute, while kids that are a little shy might take a little longer. The time it will take to photograph your whole school will vary depending on the amount of children.

Can siblings be photographed together?

I will photograph siblings together as long as it is agreed upon by the school. This can disrupt class and take up more time, so it will be done on case by case basis as long as the school allows for it.

Are class photos an option?

Absolutely. I can take group photos on picture day, or make composite class photos.

What will the school need to do for photo day?

I take care of almost everything! All I need is a space to set up my background. I can use natural light if there is a good window spot, otherwise I will set up artificial lighting.

2 weeks before photo day I will send the school an info link to send to parents. The school can forward all parent questions to my email for me to answer.

I will work with the school to create a schedule for the day. I will bring all necessary equipment, and if needed, I will provide an assistant. The school is welcome to provide an employee or a teacher volunteer to help bring the kids in for photos as well.

How will parents view the photos?

I will deliver proofs via an online gallery within 3 weeks of photo day. I use a QR code system for privacy and easy access. If parent emails are given to me, they will receive a notification that their photos are up, otherwise I will email the school a link to the photo gallery, which they will send to the parents. Ordering is done directly through the gallery.

Prints and canvas are delivered directly to parents.

How many photos are in each gallery?

Each child will receive 3-10 photos in their gallery.

Is there a make-up day?

It depends on the school. For preschools I offer a make-up day if there are at least 5 children that need it. I will not do retakes, only make-ups. For elementary schools, I will work with the school on a case by case basis to best serve their needs.
